Accessory Dwelling Units (ADU)

On January 1^st of this year Governor Newsom signed into law a provision allowing all homeowners in California to help in the struggle to increase affordable rentals in California which is suffering from insufficient available housing for our population.   Brion Jeannette Architecture has been working closely with the Cities of Newport Beach, Huntington Beach, Laguna Beach and as far South as Dana Point to understand the parameters relating to designing and building ADUs for their clients.  Now that the governing agencies have reviewed this new law their Building Departments are ready to accept them.  As leaders in architectural design of private homes Brion Jeannette Architecture is best suited to find creative design solutions for the challenging criteria associated with this new law and opportunity.   ADU’s that respect the primary home and provide privacy is a critical design aesthetic.
